Overview

Dead & Company and Positive Legacy are very proud to announce our three action days along the 2017 Summer Tour. Positive Legacy’s mission is to integrate music and service to benefit people and the environment! That’s exactly the impact we will be creating in East Palo Alto, for the Bay Area event. All volunteers will receive lunch, limited edition Positive Legacy/Dead & Company hat, one FREE download of any show in the extensive Nugs.net catalog, live music courtesy of local musicians and the feeling of satisfaction from giving back to the local community. Your donation goes towards any supplies and materials needed to help perform the days of service.

  • Mission: To help homeless individuals and families, and those at risk, in rebuilding their lives by connecting them to educational resources, job placement, housing and health services.
  • Activities: General maintenance and clean up at a shelter. Homeless appreciation activities such as making lunches, doing laundry, giving haircuts and a mural project.
  • Takin’ it to the Streets Greening – local SF non profit organization Takin It to the Streets will have a team of kids at Shoreline Amphitheater doing clean up activations. Efforts will also include handing out small trash bags, while encouraging fans to “leave no trace” with small giveaways.

Project WeHOPE (We Help Other People Excel) is a small and highly effective nonprofit in East Palo Alto that designs and delivers programs and services to help homeless men and women from San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties rebuild their lives so they can achieve the greatest possible levels of self-sufficiency and participation in society.

Project WeHOPE offers essential, immediate services through their year-round transitional/ emergency shelter and their Dignity on Wheels mobile shower and laundry unit. These serve as the entry point to longer-term comprehensive case management, education and training services including health care, life skills, behavior and personal responsibility, substance abuse recovery, financial management, job training, certification and placement, and housing assistance and transportation. In addition, they operate a weekly Nutrition on Weekends program which serves low-income families with children in the East Palo Alto community.
