DIGNITY@WORK
Mission: The mission of the Dignity@Work program is to leverage the resources and experience of Project WeHOPE and Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center to support formerly incarcerated individuals to unify with their families and the East Palo Alto community through impactful life skills, and job and entrepreneurship training resulting in dignified employment that provides livable wages and will result in significant reduction in recidivism.

Collaboration:
Project WeHOPE, Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, The City of East Palo Alto and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office are launching a joint reentry program in East Palo Alto for soon-to-be-released and formerly incarcerated individuals to support them to become successful in all aspects of their lives. We offer comprehensive training in diverse related areas that provide life, communication, problem solving and financial management skills followed by job and entrepreneurship training to set the stage for successful employment either as a business owner or employee in a high-demand, low barrier to entry field.San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office schedules outreach sessions every other month in which the Dignity@Work Program Manager goes to the jail and hosts a 1-hour seminar outlining our program and provides inmates scheduled to be released within 45 days the opportunity to enroll in the program.
